Stay-at-Home Moms Wanting to Step out into the World:

Are you feeling lost now that your kids are in school, or have grown and gone their own way?

If you are struggling to find your place in the world now that your children have become more independent, you have come to the right place…

As a Life Coach for stay-at-home mothers who are looking to find fulfillment in work or a career, I can help.

When your children grow or leave the nest altogether, you can be left feeling sad, lonely, and insecure about who you are.  After putting so much time and energy into making sure they become well adjusted and healthy you can sometimes lose yourself in who they are and neglect to pay attention to who you are.

As a result, when it’s time to start focusing on yourself again and on work or a career, you can feel confused and uncertain about what you want to do.

This is a very common experience for many mothers…

As a stay-at-home mom ready to take that next step in your life, perhaps these are some of the concerns you have:
  • You’re unsure about what your interests and passions are.
  • You worry that going back to work or school will distract you or take too much time from your family.
  • You’re unsure about what you are qualified to do after being out of the workforce for so long.
  • You may long for the fulfilling career you left behind and yet, don’t know if it’s possible to get it going again.
  • You just don’t know where to turn or how to get started.
ButterflyHaving been at home with your children for so long, it may be hard to imagine that anything else could be as fulfilling to you as being with them.

You want to get out there and find something that is meaningful to do. And yet, you are confused about which direction to take.

As a Life Coach who has been a stay-at-home mom, I understand how difficult it can be to decide what to do once your time is not consumed by your children.

When my youngest started school, I struggled to find a path I could be passionate about.  I felt insecure about starting something new, and worried that a new business would take too much time away from my family.  So I hired a life coach who helped me get clear about my passions and interests and channel them into creating a coaching business. The result is I get to do something that is absolutely thrilling to me – life coaching - without sacrificing my family in the process. I am thrilled about my career and want to help you find your unique path as I did.

Here’s how life coaching with me can benefit you:
  • Feel fulfilled about finding your way back to whom you are, and who you want to be.
  • Discover what lights your fire - uncover your unique gifts and values and transform them into a career or business that you are passionate about.
  • Feel satisfaction in knowing what it is you want to do.
  • Gain confidence as you redesign your life.
  • Be relieved about finding a path that doesn’t impact your ability to be a great mother and wife.
  • Feel energized and renewed as you re-engage with the outside world by doing something you love.
  • Feel excited about redefining yourself-expanding beyond your role as mother.

“Before working with Shirley I was confused and unsure about which direction to go in my career. I have two teenage sons, so it was important to me to find something that wouldn’t impact my ability to be an involved mother. Shirley has a unique gift of getting me to sort through the thoughts that were spinning in my head, and she offered me new perspectives that I had not yet considered.  During our discussions she was able to show me patterns and recurrent themes that I had not noticed before that gave me clarity to what is really important to me.  It is difficult to be vulnerable and to be able to share fears and doubts, but Shirley created a safe space between us where I never felt judged or “wrong”.  Shirley’s compassion, insights, and intuition helped me get clear, focused and confident about my next steps.”
